We’re excited to welcome new and returning students to the FASO Beginner’s Ensemble for our Summer 2025 session in Carson! Now entering its fifth year, the Ensemble offers young musicians the opportunity to develop their skills through ensemble training, exciting performances, and cultural enrichment.

The FASO Beginner’s Ensemble is a proud initiative of the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Southern California’s diverse communities for 17 years.

Summer 2025 Schedule

Rehearsals: Saturdays, 2:00–3:00 PM (Call time: 1:45 PM)
Location: St. Philomena Annex

  • June 7, 14, 21, 28

  • July 12 (performance), 19, 26

    (No class on July 5 — Independence Day Weekend)

  • August 2, 9, 13 (at Glendale Adventist Academy), 15 (performance), 23

Performances

  • July 12, 2025: FilAm Friendship Day at Artesia Park

  • August 15, 2025 (Concert starts at 7pm, Call Time 3pm): FASO Concert at Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels at 555 W Temple St, Los Angeles, CA

  • TBA: Retirement Home

Repertoire Highlights

  • “Pakitong-kitong” — Traditional Filipino folk song, arr. Louie Ramos

  • “Let There Be Peace on Earth” — Jill Jackson & Sy Miller, arr. Keith Christopher

Tuition

$130 for the full summer semester

Due by the first rehearsal (June 7, 2025). Tuition is non-refundable.
